Have you ever tried a recipe where you felt if you tweaked it just that tiniest bit, it would be the best thing ever? Have you then proceeded to try ten different versions of it, each time altering the recipe just a wee bit, getting frustrated by how close you were to the mark, but how you couldn’t quite get there?

Chocolate pomegranate truffle
As I went on a walk with Helo this afternoon, I couldn’t help but notice how many people had already put on the Christmas lights around their homes. The little twinkly ones were draped around the bushes in their yard, some dangled from the eaves, quite a few had inflatable santas strewn across their lawns and of course, the white-bulbed reindeer were everywhere. White chocolate orange blondies
On those rare occasions when I have to cook just for myself, I have to admit, I am a bit of a slacker. I will scrounge around the fridge, put together bits and pieces of this and that, and scrape a meal together. Sometimes I even throw in a store-bought frozen pizza in the oven or open a can of soup. I know, I know, that should be an absolute no-no for someone who loves to cook, but somehow, I never have the energy to make an elaborate meal just for myself!

The Professor is unbelievable finicky when it comes to bananas.
